PaperShip, 2013 in Review

Friday, 20 December 2013 in PaperShip by Vincent Tourraine

A lot of things happened this year, so we wanted to take a step back and talk a bit about PaperShip.

We’ve released the first version in April, and now a lot of scientists use it everyday. We think this app matters because it helps you do what’s important: reading papers, managing your library, takings notes, and sharing with colleagues. We’ve put a lot of work into it, and we’re very grateful that you find it useful and enjoyable.

We’ve also made a lot of changes since the version 1.0. We started with Mendeley, and then decided to support Zotero as well. We completely redesigned the app for the new major version of iOS. We made a thousand little changes to smooth some rough edges and make it better for everyone.

But as the saying goes, it’s only the beginning.

We hope you like surprises as much as we do, because we have a couple of big releases regarding PaperShip planned for 2014. All I can say right now is that we’re really excited about it, and we can’t wait to show it to you. Make sure to follow us on Twitter (@papershipapp) to keep up with latest news, and learn some new tricks about the app.

Now enough with the teasing, and let’s celebrate 2013 with a big holiday promotion. For a very limited time, you can purchase the full PDF annotations pack in PaperShip at just $2.99. Go to the App Store to download the app and enjoy unlimited PDF annotations, including customizable highlights, notes, drawings, and much more, for a very affordable price.

And remember, we need your support to keep on improving PaperShip, so feel free to share the word with your friends and colleagues.

See you in 2014!
